Mission Statement

Al-Sawt (Arabic: الصوت, pronounced ahl sowt, meaning “The Voice”) is the official media service of the Holy Orthodox Order of Saint George the Great Martyr and functions as an independent editorial news platform dedicated to reporting on the Christian communities of the Holy Land and the Middle East.

Established by the Order in 2026, Al-Sawt exists to amplify the voices of the world’s oldest Christian communities and to bring greater international attention to their faith, history, experiences, contributions, and contemporary realities.

Through accurate, independent, and responsible journalism, Al-Sawt seeks to inform a global audience about the people, Churches, events, and issues shaping Christian life throughout the region. Our reporting is grounded in accuracy, fairness, impartiality, historical understanding, transparency, accountability, and editorial integrity.

Our name—Al-Sawt, “The Voice”—expresses our fundamental purpose: to ensure that the voices and stories of the Christian communities of the Holy Land and the Middle East are heard, understood, and reported with the depth, dignity, and integrity they deserve.
